Books for Business in October

TR October Books For Business Graphic

We have partnered with the Knoxville Chamber in a program called Books for Business to give you chance to win a copy of a different business-related book each month (we’ll be giving away 25 copies of each book). The books are recommended by prominent area business leaders. Each month, the first 25 people to register below will receive that month’s book.

Last month we kicked off our Books for Business program by giving away the book No Man’s Land by Doug Tatum.  This book was recommended by Larry Bodie, CEO of Claris Networks.  We hope those of you that got a copy of this book have enjoyed it as much as we have!  It is now a new month and we have a new book that we are excited to give out.

The book for October is “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team” by Patrick Lencioni.  Read below to learn why Dr. Michael McIntyre, Director of UT’s Professional MBA Program selected this book.

“Teamwork is a huge issue in small companies, because there’s very little slack in the system. Everybody needs to pull his own weight, pull in the same direction, support each other, and support customers. This book outlines the very specific steps that a team needs to take in order to become high functioning. This book will help your small business improve its teamwork and improve its bottom line results.” – Dr. Michael McIntyre, Director of UT’s Professional MBA Program
